Two Saudi Arabian riders dominated the biggest classes at CSI5*-W Riyadh this weekend, as Kamal Bahamdan won the World Cup and Abdullah Al Sharbatly the Grand Prix.

Aboard his faithful partner Noblesse des Tess (Cumano x Irak E), Bahamdan had one of only two clear rounds in the FEI World Cup to finish first with a jump-off that was almost three seconds faster than that off Abdullah Al Sharbatly on Talan (Concorde x Burggraaf). Third place in this competition counting for the Arab World Cup League, went to Jordan's Ibrahim Bisharat on Bowie Z (Balou du Rouet x Jumpilot) who had one down in the jump-off.

In the Grand Prix Abdullah Al Sharbatly rode Domingo (Thunder van de Zuuthoeve x Brownboy), to one of three double clear rounds. Runner-up was his compatriot Ramzy Hamad Al Duhami on Hastell (Winningmood x Darco) who finished two seconds behind in the jump-off. Third place went to United Arab Emirates' Abdullah Al Rajhi on Cornelexs (Acobat II x Windsor).

The course designer was Bob Ellis, with the assistance of Bernardo Costa Cabral and Sinan Nashashibi.
