Saturday's CSI5*-W Estrella Damm Trophy, a 1.50m class with a winning round at Madrid Horse Week, went to the Netherland's Maikel van der Vleuten on the 10-year-old gelding VDL Groep Quatro (Quaprice Boimargot Quincy x Caletto) with the time of 33,17 seconds.

Van Vleuten was in awe of his horse after the win: "This horse tries so hard, he is just such a cute horse. When you at first see him, you don't think much of him - but he is unbelievable!"

Italy's Lorenzo de Luca on the 9-year-old stallion Halifax van het Kluizebos (Heartbreaker x Fetiche du Pas) took the second place with the time of 33,44 seconds. Germany's Ludger Beerbaum continued his good form and took the third place on the 13-year-old Chiara (Contender x Coronado 3) with the time of 34,22 seconds.
