Tamino and Houtzager at the WEG 2010. Photo by Jenny Abrahamsson. Tamino (Numero Uno x Farmer), who was Marc Houtzager’s WEG-partner in Kentucky, is no longer owned by the HBC Stal and the Schep-family. The horse has a new owner in Stoeterij Sterrehof, and the new ownership happened in consultation with Houtzager. It thus looks like Tamino is secured for the Dutch team for the Olympics in 2012.
Stoeterij Sterrehof already has a collaboration with Houtzager and his partner Julia Kayser, and has included Houtzager’s Opium (Polidor x Bormio) and Kayser’s Pherna (Calvados x Tangelo) in their team. “It is important both for Marc and for us that he keeps his good position in the sport – and he can not do that with Opium alone”, commented Ellen and Ivo Campagne, owners of Stoeterij Sterrehof after the purchase.
