Ninja La Silla feels fantastic! I jumped him in the Best of Champions and he jumped easy and really good. But I did notice in the second round that his condition is not as good as we want it to be but we are getting there. If everything works out as planned Ninja La Silla will go the Nations Cup in Falsterbo next weekend. It is going to be a test to see if he is strong enough to go the two rounds, but as he felt yesterday that shouldn´t be a problem.
Ninja La Silla really like his life as a show horse and we will let him compete as long as he wants to and as long as he feels good.
I have had some trouble with Carusso LS La Silla here in Aachen. He has been getting a bit scared and yesterday we had problems with the first fence in the tripple combination. It was a big oxer with white stones under it. He jumped that same fence in the first class and then he over jumped it so that was still was in his mind. Carusso LS La Silla will go some smaller classes in the nearest future to give him his confidence back.
I will not start the Grand Prix today with Casall La Silla so I rode him in a smaller class this morning. He feels really fresh and jumps easy and elastic . And most of all - he really wants to! I actually had to hold him back today :-)
Of course I would have loved to ride the Grand Prix here in Aachen, but we decided that we don't want to take any risks in front of the Olympics. It is a bigger risk to jump a Grand Prix in comparesy to the other classes. Especially here in Aachen where the Grand Prix is known as one of the biggest classes in the world. When you start a class like that you want to ride two rounds and a jump-off which takes a lot from the horses.
Casall La Silla feels exactly as he is supposed to and I'm very happy about that. He have just competed at four outdoor shows this season, and he did his first Nations Cup here in Aachen. We just made one change in his planning ahead of the Olympics otherwise we have really sticked to his original plan.
After a long weekend it is now time to travel back home just in time to travel off again to Falsterbo;) See you there!
