Well Spruce Meadows ended well for us with another ribbon in the speed Derby class... Bonsai had a blast around the Canada Ring and Carlos at his best eventing mode... Resulted in 5 th place and a couple of thousand dollars!! Woohoo!!
So the winner of the big Grand Prix was Olivier Philipaerts with just 2 time faults over 2 rounds- the second round resulted in a couple of falls- one nasty backward exit for Tina Fletcher, I think she's ok but I hate to see people hurt...
My friend Franca Maas is the groom for Olivier so I'm delighted for her too- he is only a kid but he rode so cool... Hats off to his dad for 3rd place as well....
Right now the work is finished and the bar is full of happy riders trainers and grooms..... It's all very friendly and the week has been a super super display of how a horse show should be gone no wonder they get voted best show!! I vote for them every time now the place is fab.
On another note I've got a sponsorship for some amazing product for Carlos ( Me) and his horses, it's pure and organic and when I take it I'm super super happy!! Haha!
So all the gear is packed up and we fly tomo- the trunks are being lifted at 9 am- the lovely weather has given way to a storm straight out of Wizard of Oz!!
So I'm gonna bid you farewell and say if ever like me you are offered the chance to come to Calgary... Grab that ticket and jump on the plane... You will love it!! I did !! Xxxxx
