700 000 Euro for Chadino!

Wednesday, 14 December 2011

Every year Paul Schockemöhle and Ullrich Kasselmann organize an auction together in December. Schockemöhle is responsible for the jumpers and Kasselmann for the dressage horses.

The 26 jumping horses that were present at the PSI auktion last weekend brought in a total of 6.542,000 Euro. The most expensive jumper was bought at the price of 700.000 Euro - the 6 year old stallion named Chadino (Chacco-Blue x Narew xx). Chadino has been having a lot of success already and  qualified for the World championship for Young horses earlier this year.

Cassidy, a 6 year old by Cassini I x Briscar was not far away from Chadino at 670.000 Euro. The big brown gelding has also shown great performances already.

The auction had a lot of B and C blood for sale as the father stallions were horses such as Chacco Blue, Contendro I, Cartoon, Balou du Rouet, Baloubet du Rouet and Calvaro. Only one horse came from another bloodline - the (soon to be) six year old mare Quite Nice (Quality x Landor S).

But it was not the jumping horses that were most expensive. Der Designer, a dressage horse from De Niro x Weltmeyer went for 1,1 million Euro.
