A fall forces Onischenko to take a few weeks off

Wednesday, 22 February 2012

Aleksander Onischenko is out after a fall. Photo by Jenny Abrahamsson. It's not been the best week for the Ukrainian rider and billionaire Aleksander Onischenko. According to horses.nl Onischenko fell off his horse Ledgepoint during a training session at the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour in Oliva Nova, Valencia. As a consequence Onischenko has to take a few weeks out of the saddle, and will not be able to ride. Yesterday it was also known that Belgian authorities have seized three horses belonging to Onischenko, whereas two will be sold at a public auction.
