In front of an ecstatic home crowd, Mario Stevens celebrated a win in Saturday's 1.45 speed class in Leipzig. Coming in with only ten to go in the 48 rider class, the German rider produced an incredible clear and fast round at 54.94 second aboard Quamina (Quidam’s Rubin x Quattro) to take home the car that was the top prize.
A few riders later Thursday’s winner Natale Chiaudani tried to overtake Stevens, but had to settle for second on Quicka (Quebec x Calido I) at 56.69 seconds. Third was Roger Yves Bost on Castle Forbes Cosma (Couleur-Rubin x Peter Pan), who was the fastest of the day but unfortunately with the first fence down and thus additional time added to cross the finish line on 57.24 seconds.
