Photo by Stefano Grasso/LGCT.The very first class of the Longines Global Champions Tour Paris Eiffel Jumping presented by Gucci was won by Michel Hecart (FRA) and Nokia de Brekka who raced to victory to finish nearly two seconds ahead of the Alberto Michan Halbinger (MEX) in second with Carusso LS La Silla, and Luca Maria Moneta (ITA) with Neptune Brecourt in third. It was a very happy 4th of July for USA's Georgina Bloomberg and Laura Kraut who finished 5th and 6th in the class on this traditional day of huge Independence Day celebration across the Atlantic.

Uliano Vezzani built a welcoming course to introduce the top international riders in the world to one of the most spectacular venues on the Tour. The course of fences included beautiful impressions of the Arc de Triomphe and Eiffel Tower, celebrating the iconic architecture of France as the Tour moves up from the stunning Cote d'Azur coastline of the last leg in Monaco to the imposing French capital. Following on from her fantastic Longines Pro Am win in Monaco, a very happy Charlotte Casiraghi won the invitational class following the CSI5* competition.
