A popular win for Malin in Falsterbo

Saturday, 09 July 2011

Malin Baryard-Johnsson wins in Falsterbo. Photo by Hanne Christensen.Malin Baryard-Johnsson took home a popular win in Falsterbo today aboard H&M Reveur de Hurtebise (Kashmir van Schuttershof x Capricieux des Six Censes). The win came in the Kopparbergs Trophy, a 1.50 class against the clock. Malin came in midway, and set off at a good pace on her 10 year old chestnut gelding. The two made the eleven fence track look easy, and Malin cut the corners tight and speeded down to the last wall. Their time of 59.57 was good enough to go into the lead, and stay there.

Tina Lund bounced back today as runner-up on Zamiro (A Khan Z x Ramiro Z), after experiencing some trouble in yesterday’s Nations Cup. Lund was very fast, and only 0.07 seconds behind Malin. Denis Lynch rode a great round on Lord Louis (Lasino x Alcatraz), who seems to have settled well with his new rider. Their time was slightly slower than that of Malin, but for a short time the pair held the runner-up position. They had to settle for third though, as Lund came in towards the end of the class to beat their time.
