Abdelkebir Ouaddar on top in La Baule

Friday, 16 May 2014

Abdelkebir Ouaddar and Quickly de Kreisker, here seen in Lyon earlier this spring. Photo by Jenny Abrahamsson.Fresh from his Grand Prix win in Le Touquet, Abdelkebir Ouaddar won Thursday’s biggest class at the CSIO5* La Baule. The 1.50 class against the clock had over sixty riders in it, but fastest of all was the Moroccan rider aboard the incredible Quickly de Kreisker (Diamant de Semilly x Laudanum)– also his winning partner last Sunday. Almost two seconds behind followed Ireland’s Dermott Lennon on Loughview Lou Lou (Limmerick x Jack of Diamonds), while Billy Twomey secured two Irish in the top three on Tinka’s Serenade (Tinka’s Boy x African Drum) slotting into third.

It was a good day for Lennon who also won the 1.45 class on Vampire (Andiamo x Fruhling). Pius Schwizer was second on Rafale des Forets (Le Arc de Triomphe), almost three seconds behind the Irish rider. Third went to Matthieu Billot on the Koriander-son Pardoes.
