Aboyeur back to Heiner Engemann

Monday, 26 March 2012

Heiner is getting Aboyeur back! Photo by Jenny Abrahamsson.Heinrich-Hermann "Heiner" Engemann, the German team trainer, is getting back his success horse Aboyeur (Anmarsch x Fiola). The now 18 year old gelding had huge success with Heiner before he was sold in 2009.

Alvaro de Miranda rode Aboyeur for a while, then he went on to Jan Tops' stable jockey Daniel Deusser. In 2010 the horse was sold to Italy and Andra Alessia Rosssi who let Gianni Govoni ride Aboyeur. Gianni and Aboyeur won the Grand Prix in Arezzo together.

The last months Aboyeur has been ridden by Rossi herself and she has been training with the Dutch trainer Hans Horn. Heiner told Hans that he would like to give Aboyeur a nice retirement at his place and now it has been settled; Aboyeur is returning home. "This horse has done so much for me. I am very happy that he comes back home and that he will be able to enjoy his retirement in the field at my place," Heiner says to Reiter Revue.
