Flexible location (UK based)

The British Equestrian Federation (BEF) is seeking a Showjumping Performance Manager (PM) to lead, develop and manage the Jumping programmes within the BEF's UK Sport National Lottery funded World Class Programme (WCP).

This is an opportunity to play an integral part in the progress of a successful GB sports team, with the primary aim to develop programmes and systems that deliver Jumping success at Championship level, specifically at the Olympic Games, with particular emphasis on preparations for Rio 2016.

Reporting to the WCP Performance Director, and in consultation with the British Showjumping CEO, the PM will be responsible for the delivery of the BEF's Jumping World Class Performance Programme. The successful candidate will also work with the BEF's World Class Development Programme Jumping Discipline Coordinator to ensure there is an effective and sustainable pathway for talented British Jumping riders through the delivery of the BEF's World Class Development Programme.

At championships and other designated competitions the Performance Manager will be the Team Manager for the GBR senior Jumping Team, responsible for structuring and managing team support, including the provision of athlete coaching, ideally provided by the PM (coaching qualification required).

The successful candidate will be a motivated, well organised self-starter with extremely effective leadership skills and superior levels of emotional intelligence. He or she will have a performance focus and a charisma that will enable the candidate to harness the support of a complex community and the internal and external stakeholders, ranging from boards to practitioners as well as athletes, owners of horses and coaches. He or she should have comprehensive experience in a high performing culture.

To apply please send CV and covering letter to Maggie Moreton, Head of Secretariat, or British Equestrian Federation, Abbey Park, Stareton, Warwickshire, CV8 2RH by 17 December 2014. First stage interviews will take place week beginning 5 January 2015.
