Last weekend former auction horses were successful again: Chiara, sold at the auction 2007, and her famous rider Ludger Beerbaum became second in the Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix in Doha. Nine year old stallion Kleiner Onkel (auction horse 2009) and his young rider Maria Madenova from Russia finished third in the Grand Prix of CSI** Wiener Neustadt. Renowned trainer Hetzel, who brought the horses on as a youngster, is obviously very proud that they’re performing so well. The success of Holger Hetzel’s former auction horses around the globe is impressive proof of the genuine quality of the horses in his yard. In fact, the Hetzel Walk of Fame is getting longer and longer...

Now this year’s auction is fast approaching. Holger Hetzel and his team are delighted to invite all interested people to their 9th Sport Horse Sales at Hetzel’s equestrian centre in Goch, Germany on Tuesday 3 December 2013.

This year 25 excellent horses aged between four and eight have made it into the distinguished auction collection.  Nothing is left to chance in the selection of the horses, and all of them meet exacting standards of quality.

The auction lot is presented to the public, including information, photos and videos, on Holger Hetzel’s website ( There will be a special public demonstration  of all auction horses on Sunday 1 December 2013 at 10 a.m. Afterwards there will be an opportunity to ride the horses and enjoy the typical Hetzel hospitality at brunch. Potential bidders who have identified their favourite horse in the collection are very welcome to try it out.
