Ahmed Ragab won in Jordan. Photo by Karim Mekawi.By: Karim Mekawi, Egypt

The Grand Prix of CSI 1 * - WC Amman, Jordan of the first weekend was concluded with Ahmed Alaa Ragab riding for Egypt coming out on top and producing the sole double clear of the day riding his 14 year old bay gelding Favourit who were also placed second last year. Saturday's Grand Prix course was designed by Ahmed Talaat who built a very clever 140 - 145 cms class with the first round not against the clock and clears going on to another very technical and demanding second round which asked a lot of questions and all the riders had to make decisions accordingly.

In second, third and fourth place respectively wereQatar's Abdul Rahman Al Saaq, Syria's Yasser Al Sharif and Jordan's Ibrahim Bisharat. The show continues to next weekend starting on thursday the 8th of November for Amman's second World Cup Qualifier.
