Saturday, 20 August 2011

Albert Zoer and Sam is waiting for the price cermony! Photo by Jenny Abrahamsson.Click here for all the results from Hachenburg.

Albert Zoer from Holland and the 12 year old Sam (Sable Rose x Ahorn) were the fastest ones of the 19 horses that qualified for the jump-off in Saturday's 1.50 class in Hachenburg, Germany. Runner-up was the German rider Tobias Meyer on Lucrate Déau Grenou (Flipper DÉlle x Guillaume Tell) and another German rider - Hans-Dieter Dreher on Embassy II (Escudo I x Silvio I) was third.

Philipp Weishaupt and the nine year old stallion Monte Bellini (Montender x Ramiro) were also qualified for the jump-off, but Philipp decided not to start. Monte Bellini was unbeatable as a young horse, and won the prestigious Bundeschampionat (the German championship for young horses) both as a 5 and as 6 year old.

It became a total mix of countries in the prizelist; riders from Germany, Netherlands, Sweden, USA, Switzerland, Mexico, Denmark, Ukraine and Belgium were all in the money.
