Alexa Pessoa and Marc Houtzager on top in Hannover

Marc Houtzager won the 1.45 two phase class on Sterrehof´s Uppity. Phot by Jenny Abrahamsson.The two biggest classes at the German Classics on Friday was won by Alexa Pessoa and Marc Houtzager. Alexa won the 1.45 speed class on HH Lets Fly (Lordanos x Forrest xx), ahead of John Whitaker riding Lord of Arabia (Cassini II x Carry). Only 0.15 seconds separated the two riders. Third was John´s son Robert on Synique – 0.32 seconds behind his father.

Marc took home the two phase 1.45 class on Sterrehof´s Uppity (Guidam x E-Pilot). Marc rode a very fast second phase and crossed the finish line on 28.80. It was double Dutch on top in this class as Gert-Jan Bruggink was second on Andrea (Marome NW x Voltaire) – stopping the clock on 29.21 seconds. Third was Denis Lynch on Double O Seven (Carnute x Irco Mena) with a time of 29.24 in the second phase.
