Philippe Rozier won the Masters on Friday at the CSI3* show in Porto together with his horse Akita. It was only ten riders in the Masters and the class went on for four rounds for the ones that were clear. Five riders managed to be clear throughout all four rounds, and Rozier was just slightly ahead of another French rider; Eugenie Angot with Lothian des Hayettes. Bernardo Alves and Bridget ended up third ahead of Harrie Smolders riding Udo DV and Roger Yves Bost with Nippon dÉlle.
The 1,40 m class was won by William Whitaker on Fandango (Last Liberty x Fame) ahead of Felipe Guinato with AD Qrunch de la Roque (Kannan x Julia des Hayettes) and Peter Wylde with Wetter (Stetter x Heliolight).
Bernardo Alves from Brazil won Friday's speed class together with Nimu LÉnchante (Elain de la Cour x Everest lÉnchl). Bernardo was more than a second faster than the Portuguese rider Manuel Sa Morais with No Kiss (Cook du Midour x Ubrica des Chen). George Whitaker with Willtton (Riverman x Silletto) ended up in third position.
