Andreas Schou has lost What’s Next

Thursday, 01 December 2011

Andreas and What´s Next in Rotterdam. Photo by Jenny Abrahamsson.Danish top rider Andreas Schou has sadly lost his mare What’s Next (Mr. Blue x Remondo). According to the Danish website ridehesten.com the 12 year old BWP-mare showed signs of colic when she arrived at a show in Salzburg yesterday, and after a few hours observation from a veterinary she was brought to a horse clinic nearby. After a couple of hours at the clinic it was decided that it was necessary with surgery, but unfortunately the situation had developed in such a manner that there was nothing to be done. What’s Next was therefore put to sleep.

This is of course a very sad loss for Andreas, as What’s Next was a promising horse for him. The two won a three star 1.50 class in Moorsele earlier this autumn. The mare was previously competed by Edwina Tops-Alexander and Sergio Alvares Moya, as well as Michel Robert.
