It was another French win at Kingsland Oslo Horse Show, as Kevin Staut took the victory in the 1.50 speed class Friday evening. The five star class counted 45 riders, and after fifteen it was Sweden’s Angelica Augustsson that had taken the lead after an incredibly fast round on the hot chestnut mare Mic Mac du Tillard (Cruising x Galoubet A). Angelica got a great turn to the Kingsland vertical on the last line and a super forward distance on five strides to the following oxer before she raced to the last – stopping the clock on 61.26 seconds.
Two riders later Brazil and Ashford Farm’s Marlon Zanotelli rode a super and fast clear on Ode des Roches (First du Lanay x Tu Viens Dorval), going into second behind Angelica with a time of 62.48 seconds.
None of the following 14 riders could do anything about Angelica and Marlon. But then Kevin Staut entered the ring. Riding a fantastic smooth and rhythmical round on the lovely Quismy des Vaux HDC (Dollar de la Pierre x Super de Bourriere), Kevin almost miraculously managed to take over the lead – shaving off 0.53 seconds of Angelica’s time. Kevin proved unbeatable, and cashed in the top prize of 9900 Euro. Angelica was pushed down to second, and Marlon to third while yesterday's winner Hans-Dieter Dreher was fourth on Embassy II (Escudo I x Silvio I). The best Norwegian rider was Stein Endresen, that ended fifth.
