Another day, another win for Gregory Wathelet in Geneva

Friday, 13 December 2013

Gregory Wathelet and Etoile M won again in Geneva. Photo by World of Showjumping. He did it again – just like yesterday; Gregory Wathelet won Friday’s speed class in Geneva on Etoile M (Toulon x Lys de Darmen). On the nine year old stallion, the Belgian rider notched up another victory in Palexpo – stealing the top prize after a great round where he stopped the clock on 50.67 seconds after doing a fabulous turn from the oxer at eight and then jumping the vertical at nine on a perfect angel before he cleared the final two elements of the track.

With his round Gregory pushed Daniel Bluman down to second on Cantando Lyngriis (Cassini I x Zarewitsch XX), who as the rider before had taken the lead from Ashford Farm's Marlon Zanotelli and Ode des Roches (First du Launay x Tu Viens Dorval) that in the end came third.
