Asti Spumante retired

Thursday, 09 February 2012

Almero 12 - a lovely offspring by Asti Spumante. Photo by Jenny Abrahamsson. Thomas Mühlbauer’s ride Asti Spumante (Argentinus x Landfrieden) has officially been retired from the sport, and will in the future be used for breeding. The now seventeen year old Oldenburger was a part of the German winning team at the Nations Cup in Lummen last year. During the Nations Cup in La Baule Mühlbauer got the felling that something was wrong, and because of this the stallion was given a long break. Unfortunately without the results they hoped for.

Due to this it has therefore been decided that Asti Spumante’s career as a showjumper is over, and he will now be available for breeding at Haupt- and Landgestut Schwaiganger. The stallion already have some good offsprings such as Natale Chiaudani’s lovely gelding Almero 12.
