Photo from Equitanews.com. Equestrian Australia has announced their 2012 National Jumping Squad. The Elite and A Squad listed horse and rider combinations form the Shadow Teams for the 2012 Olympic Games. On Equestrian Australia’s website Brett Mace, Equestrian Australia’s High Performance Manager, explains the composition of the Shadow Teams, and states that the “Elite” listed combinations presently are the front-runners for the Olympic teams. “However, I am sure our “A” Squad members will make the most of every opportunity to claim a place on the team through exceptional performances in the lead up to London,” Mace states. The combinations will be monitored at major events prior to nominations to the Australian Olympic Committee in June.
