Bad fall for Judy-Ann in Rulle

Sunday, 02 October 2011

Judy-Ann's horse took off way too early, and had no chance to make it over the oxer. Photo by Jenny Abrahamsson.Judy-Ann Melchior had a bad fall in today's Grand Prix in Rulle, Germany, with her eight year old horse Asca Z.  The horse had been jumping very well, but then took off a stride too early at the first fence in the triple combination - an oxer.

Judy-Ann was conscious when she was carried out and taken to the hospital. Her boyfriend Christian Ahlmann decided to withdraw from his later start in the class and followed Judy-Ann to the hospital. The first reports tell us that she has a concussion. Fingers crossed that she hasn't suffered any bigger injuries.
