Billy Twomey to undergo surgery

Wednesday, 24 October 2012

Billy Twomey. Photo by Jenny Abrahamsson.Billy Twomey will have to undergo surgery after suffering from a problem with his back. Twomey explains on his website that he has had a prolapsed disc, lower down in his back, for some time. The Irish rider has decided to sort the problem out and will have an operation in Germany next week as it looks now. Billy will probably be in hospital for about a week afterwards, and then have a period of intense physio following that. He hopes to be back jumping in time for Paris or London.

We wish Billy a speedy recovery.
