Roger-Yves Bost was the best rider in the 1.45 Prize of Garage Nepple AG in Basel on Friday, riding Castle Forbes Cosma (Couleur-Rubin x Peter Pan). Bosty came in as second last to go, and left little doubt that he was in it to win as he had no brakes on his fourteen year old mare around the track. Chasing the time of then-leader Jerome Hurel who rode the only eight year old Bonjovi (Verdi x Corland), Bosty was cheered along by the audience and when he crossed the finish line over a second faster than the French rider it looked unbeatable.
Last-to-go Edwina Tops-Alexander really went for it though, and came in second on Lintea Tequila (Campbell x Corrado II) a little over a second behind Bosty, and slightly ahead of Hurel in this very, very fast speed class.
