Roger Yves Bost and Qoud'Coeur de la Loge – a son of the French rider's former top horse Ideal de la Loge – took Sunday's biggest win at the CSIO5* event in Gijon. Posting the fastest jump-off round of the 1.50 class at 42.73 seconds, Bosty was in a league of his own as runner-up Khalid Mohammed A S Al Emadi was almost five seconds behind on the clock aboard Tamira IV (Damiro x Corleone). Another French rider was third, as Aymerick de Ponnat was back in the top with Armitages Boy (Armitage x Feo) with a time of 47.16 seconds in the jump-off.
The 1.40 class went to Laura Renwick, who has shown consistent form at the Spanish event. Riding Beluga, the British rider took yet another win in this accumulator class leaving Pedro Veniss to second place on Anaya Sainte Hermelle (Andiamo Z x Paladin des Ifs). Third was Felix Haßmann on Cayenne WZ (Claudio x Ramirado).
