The biggest class in Gijon – a 1.50 class – saw Scott Brash and Bon Ami (Pavarotti van de Helle x Richebourg) go all the way to the top. The British rider was double clear and slightly faster in the jump-off than Cian O’Connor who rode his new acquisition Carpe Diem (Concorde x Elanville).

Antonio Alfonso on Snai Boa Vista heads the 1.40 class. Photo by Oxer Sport.O’Connor’s former ride Larkhill Cruiser (Cruising x Crosstown Dancer) was third with his new rider Abdullah Al Sharbatly, who has been consistently good with this lovely Irish-bred gelding throughout the weekend.

The 1.40 class went to Italian rider Antonio Alfonso on Snai Boa Vista. Straight behind was Patrice Delaveau with Baritchou DBT. Cian O’Connor was in the money here as well, being third on Ballymore Eustace.
