Broken collarbone for Katrin Eckermann after terrible fall in the Rolex Grand Prix in Aachen

Sunday, 20 July 2014

We wish this pair a speedy recovery! Photo by Jenny Abrahamsson.Katrin Eckermann broke her collarbone after a terrible fall in the Rolex Grand Prix in Aachen. The accident happened on the open water jump placed as fence six, and both horse and rider went over hitting the ground hard – just as they did in Thursday´s Nations Cup. This time it did not end so well though, and both Katrin and Firth of Lorne had to be transported out of the ring to get medical treatment – Katrin to the hospital. Firth of Lorne has been examined and as it currently looks there are no serious injuries.

We wish both Katrin and Firth of Lorne a full and quick recovery!
