No one could stop Cassio Rivetti and Lazio (Lancer x Cor de la Bryere) from winning the 1,50 m class "NBE Rail Champions Cup" this afternoon in Frankfurt. 51 riders tried to beat him but only 15 rider even got close by being clear in the first round.
Rolf Moormann and Londinium (Böckmanns Lord Pezi x Cascadeur) started the jump-off with a fast and clear round. Next to go was Thomas Voss who had an excelent rythm all the way around the course with Carinjo (Cascavell) which gave him the lead. Also Anelies Vorsselmans and Eurocommerce Colorado (Darco x Voltaire) were clear. It was no doubt that the next rider, Rene Tebbel with Warrior (Lupicor) wanted to win. He went for it from the beginning to the end, and managed to take over the lead. Max Kühner and Lacapo (Landor S x Argentinus) did a nice round and were also clear.
It looked like Natalia Simonia had the time off her life when she smiled her way around the jump-off with Gardemarin (Grad x Zabyvchivyi). Albert Zoer with Wollie Bollie (Cantos x Zuidhorn) and Steve Guerdat with Carpalo (Contender x Cicero) had to see a pole fall, while Ludger Beerbaum riding Couleur Rubin (Cordalme Z x Grannus) had to see two poles down.
Lennox (Lifestyle x Grannus) played his way around the course with Luciana Diniz and they got an excellent time that placed them right after Rene. Then it was time for Lazio and Cassio Rivetti. He produced a great round and managed to take over the lead from Tebbel. Lazio looked like a pony around the course - lying throughout the turns and easily jumping the fences.
Jörg Oppermann with Lux as if tried his best to please the home crowd, but unfortunately the second last fence fell. The same fence fell for the next rider; Alexandra Fricker with Albfuehren´s Paille (Kannan).
Second last to go was Mario Stevens and another Cordalme Z offspring, Corlanda. Corlanda who is back from a longer break because of an injury semms to be in excellent form. Out the of the eight starts she has had after her break, she has won four times. Today she almost had her fifth victory, but Corlanda and Mario had to settle for second place 0.83 seconds behind Rivetti.
Last to go was Pia-Luise Aufrecht with MCB Chanel (Cassini x Silbersee) who made a really nice and balanced round without going for the first place.
It was a lot of Böckmann horses in Frankfurt today. The winning horse Lazio was earlier named Böckmanns Lazio and ridden by Gilbert Böckmann. Two horses are offsprings from Cordalme Z who lived at Böckmann's all his life competing with Gilbert. And then there is Böckmanns Lord Pezi who is the father of Londinium, Rolf Moormann's ride.
