Thursday, 02 October 2014

Castle Forbes Myrtille Paulois will be retired from the sport. Photo by Jenny Abrahamsson.Roger Yves Bost's reigning European Champion Castle Forbes Myrtille Paulois is to be retired from the sport. The official retirement ceremony for the 14 year old mare by Dollar du Murier x Grand Veneur will take place at Equita Lyon, the first weekend in November. Castle Forbes Myrtille Paulois has had a very successful career, winning the individual gold medal for France at the Europeans in Herning last year as the highlight.

Together with Bosty the mare also won the CSI5* World Cup in Helsinki in 2012, the CSI5* Equita Masters in Lyon in 2012, the CSI5* Grand Prix in Basel in 2012 as well as being on the winning French Nations Cup team in Rotterdam this summer – to mention just a few of her many successes.

"Myrtille put her stamp on Bosty's life and offered Bosty the gift of his career, the precious gold medal at the European Championships. Forever, she will have an important place in his heart. A page has been turned. Thank you all for your support," it is stated on Bost's official Facebook account.

Castle Forbes Myrtille Paulois will now dedicate herself to breeding, and we wish the mare a happy retirement!
