Championat von Wien to Doda

Monday, 14 November 2011

Doda and AD Ashleigh Drossel Dan. Photo by wiener-pferdefest.at.The Grand Prix class in Vienna Sunday was won by Alvaro de Miranda (Doda) and his thirteen year old gelding AD Ashleigh Drossel Dan (Drosselklang x Ashleigh Brigadier).  Ten of the 36 riders to start were clear in the first round course designer Franz Madl had built, and then competed against the clock in the jump-off.

The home crowd hoped for a win with Stefan Eder and Chili van Dijk (Champion du Lys x Alcatraz), but he had to see himself beaten by Doda with over a second in the jump-off. Behind Doda and Eder there was a hughe gap down to number three Shane Breen and his eight year old mare Cos I Can (Olympic Lux x Harlequin du Carel) followed by Max Kühner and Clintop (Clinton x Calvaro) on fourth.
