Charlie Jacobs dominates in Buenos Aires

Monday, 28 November 2011

Charlie Jacobs has been on fire in Buenos Aires, and won two cars.Charlie Jacobs finished his week in the best possible way when he won the World Cup qualifier in Buenos Aires. The Grand Prix track, design by Olaf Petersen, only saw four clear rounds out of 40 riders; Charlie Jacobs riding Leap of Joy from USA, Angela Lawrence with Utan from Canada, Carlos Milthaler with AS de Farfala from Chile and Ali Wolff riding Lanoo from USA.

Charlie made a fast and clear jump-off, which no one could match, winning his second car of the week [he won two Nissan cars] as well as taking home the three most important classes of the CSIO. Angela was clear, but couldn´t make the time placing second. Milthaler ended third and Ali Wolff fourth.

In the young horses class the winner was Martin Dopazo riding Quick de Beafour from Argentina.

Saturday Jacobs won the international speed derby of 1.40m table C over 16 fences. Jacobs – riding Flaming Star – made a fast clear round in 90,03 seconds. The second place went to Leandro Moschini riding Gama Zarello from Argentina with a time of 87,28 plus 4 seconds for a knock down. The third place was for Carlos Milthaler with AS Farfala from Chile in a time of 92,19 and fourth Camila Draghi riding Hendaya from Argentina in a time of 95,18.
