Monday, 10 December 2012

Number one on the Rolex Ranking: Christian Ahlmann. Photo by Jenny Abrahamsson. As WoSJ reported this weekend, word was that Christian Ahlmann would be the new number one in the world on the Rolex Ranking number 143 – and indeed he is! The winner of the Top 10 Final has climbed from rank three to one on this month’s ranking with his 2555 points. Last month’s number one Steve Guerdat is now rank two, while Marcus Ehning has climbed all the way from rank seven to rank three. Kevin Staut is up from rank six to four, while Nick Skelton has fallen from rank two to rank five. Pius Schwizer has fallen down from five to six, and Rolf-Göran Bengtsson from four to seven. Edwina Tops-Alexander is the only one from last month’s Top 10 that remains in her position, at rank eight. Two new additions to the Top 10 are Penelope Leprevost at rank nine and Gerco Schröder who has climbed all the way from rank 22 to rank ten – pushing Marco Kutscher and Beezie Madden out.
