Cian O’Connor and Unique claim the Stawag-Preis in Aachen

Photo by Jenny Abrahamsson.It was Cian O’Connor and Unique (Indoctro x Voltaire) that produced the fastest clear round in Thursday afternoon’s Stawag-Preis in Aachen. Coming in towards the end of the 57 rider class, the Irishman rode a super clear round over the twelve fence track that included two combinations – and that saw a lot of poles falling to the ground in the riders efforts to get the best time. Eleven of the riders in the class managed to ride clear rounds though, but it was Cian who was the best with the time of 63.78 seconds. Runner-up was Marc Houtzager on Sterrefhof’s Uppity (Guidam x Epilot) who came in as last to go, and crossed the finish line 0.39 seconds behind Cian. Penelope Leprevost, who took an early lead, went into third on Flora de Mariposa (For Pleasure x Power Light) on 64.72 seconds.
