To give Henrik von Eckermann the possibility to qualify with Coupe de Coeur for the Olympics in London the stallion's owner Madeleine Winter-Schulze has sold a part of him to Sweden. It is Ann-Catrin "Ankan" Carlsson, her husband Tore Gustavsson and Håkan and Åsa Björklund that has bought a part of the German stallion.
"I am so happy that it finally worked out," Henrik says to WoSJ. "This is just a beginning, but now at least the door is open. This is really the best start I could get, but it is still a very long way before we can ride at the Olympics in London. Coupe de Coeur has to be in form and so do I. So far so good, but as I said, we still have to qualify."
Ludger Beerbaum, Henrik's boss, borrowed Coupe de Coeur to Henrik for the Europeans in Madrid and the new couple ended up in fifth place.
