Friday, 20 September 2013

Daniel Deusser and Fyloe vh Claeyssenhof en route to victory in Viennna. Photo by © Stefano Grasso/Longines Global Champions Tour.Daniel Deusser and Stephex Stables and Double H Farm’s fantastic 8 year old Fyloe vh Claeyssenhof (Burggraaf x Heartbreaker) were in a class of their own in Vienna on Friday evening. Aboard the Belgian bred gelding, the German rider produced two flawless rounds – and Fyloe vh Claeyssenhof jumped breathtaking under Daniel in the wet ring in front of Vienna’s beautiful City Hall. Deusser was joined by six other riders in the jump-off, but nobody could threaten him and he was 1,5 seconds faster than runner-up Sören Pedersen in the jump-off. The Danish rider’s partner Tailormade Cavetta (Careful  x Grannus) also jumped superbly today to finish second, producing the last and second double clear of the day in this 1.50 class.

Third was Harrie Smolders – the fastest in the jump-off on Regina Z (Rex Z x Savoy Hannover), but on the expense of a fence down. Ludger Beerbaum was fourth on Chaman (Baloubet du Rouet x I Love You), also he with one down in the jump-off.
