Devos on top at Jumping Antwerpen

Saturday, 27 April 2013

Pieter Devos on top in yesterday's 1.50 in Antwerp. Photo by galop.be.Home rider Pieter Devos and the 11 year old chestnut mare Candy (Nabab de Reve x Etretat) took home the biggest class at Jumping Antwerpen yesterday. The four star 1.50 class had 61 riders at start, out of which 12  went double clear. Devos was fractions faster than runner-up Rik Hemeryck - also he from Belgium - riding Papillon Z (Perhaps x Cassini I). Only 0.09 seconds seperated the two. In third came US rider Lauren Hough on her faithful partner Quick Study (Quick Star x What a  Joy),  who was a tiny 0.06 seconds behind Rik.

The 1.40 class earlier in the day went to Constant van Paesschen on Rioso van de Kapel (by Idem d'Azur x Glennhidge). Simon Delestre was second, and Igor Kawiak was third.
