Winningmood is one of Darco's successfull offspring. Photo by Jenny Abrahamsson.Did you know that The World Breeding Federation for Show Horses (WBFSH) does a ranking over the best showjumping sires every year? On the ranking from 2011 it´s Darco (Lugano van la Roche x Codex) that´s on top of the list - even though he left this world in 2006. Darco was born in 1980 and had amazing success with the Belgian rider Ludo Philippaerts. 2011 was the fourth year in the row that Darco topped the list.

In rank two is Baloubet du Rouet (Galoubet A x Starter), another star jumper that won the individual gold at the Olympics in Athen in 2006 together with Rodrigo Pessoa. Quick Star (Galoubet A x Nithard), who is rank three, was a great showjumper as well. Together with Meredith Michaels Beerbaum the small stallion -who was about 1,59 high - jumped into many people's hearts.
