Tuesday, 09 September 2014

Cruising sired many top showjumpers including Rich Fellers' World Cup Champion Flexible. Photo by Ken Braddick/dressage-news.com.The McCann family and Hartwell Stud have sadly announced the death of their fantastic showjumping stallion Cruising. The legendary stallion passed away on Sunday the 7th September 2014 at the age of 29, peacefully in the stable he was born in.

The Irish Sport Horse stallion was very successful in his time, and was ridden by Trevor Coyle during his outstanding showjumping career. Included in their many successes was winning the Grand Prix in Aachen in 1999, counted as one of the most prestigious Grand Prix classes in the world. Cruising did not only have success in the ring, he has also bred many top showjumpers such as Colgan Cruise, Flexible, Larkhill Cruiser, Mic Mac du Tillard, Mo Chroi, Sails Away and Solerina – to mention some.
