Farewell to Glory Days

Saturday, 20 September 2014

Glory Days and Katie Dinan. Photo by Jenny Abrahamsson.Very sadly, Katie Dinan's Glory Days has passed away at the age of thirteen. The Swedish bred gelding by Cardento x Diamond Serpent came to Katie in the beginning of 2013, after being successfully competed by Sweden's Daniel Zetterman. With Dinan, Glory Days continued to pick up top results and in November last year the pair won the $50,000 Weston Canadian Open in Toronto. In an interview with World of Showjumping in August 2013, Katie said she felt "very lucky to have him".

Glory Days former rider Daniel Zetterman posted an agonizing statement on his Facebook page that says: "I miss my little superstar so much. You brought so much joy into my life in good and bad times. Our journey together, the way you fought for me and the things we achieved is something I will always remember for the rest of my life. You were such a fighter with a big heart and always gave your best. Thanks for all the memories. We will never forget you. Rest in peace Glory Days ‪#‎heartbroken‬"

Our condolences go to Katie Dinan and her team, as well as to Daniel Zetterman.
