The Danish warmblood stallion Lando has passed away, at the age of 26. Lando (Lancier x Raimondo) took his final breath at his home at Beligneux le Haras, where he enjoyed his retirement. Lando had a successful career under Dutch showjumper Albert Voorn who won Olympic silver with the stallion in Sydney in 2000. Following the Olympics, Lando was sold to Paul Schockemöhle and Otto Becker took over the reins.
Lando was also successful as a sire, and is the father of famous showjumper such as Ornella Mail HDC, Lacan and Oscar des Fontaines.
