Farewell to Wonderboy III

Wednesday, 09 January 2013

Wonderboy III. Photo by Jenny Abrahamsson.According to horseandhound.co.uk Wonderboy III has passed away. The 14 year old gelding died suddenly while being ridden at home, just a few months after his former rider and producer Georgie Crumley bought him. “No words can describe how much he meant to me or how much I miss him,” said Georgie to Horse & Hound. The grey Flamenco De Semilly-son had great success with Georgie, before he was sold and competed internationally by Ben Maher with super results. In 2010 Wonderboy III went on to Ahmad Saber Hamcho, who competed him at the 2012 Olympics. Wonderboy II ended up with Denis Lynch in August last year after a part-exchange deal before Georgie bought him back in September.

Our thoughts go out to Georgie and her team.
