Patrice Delaveau is the third rider in Leipzig that can drive home in a new Citroën. A win in the 1,45 speed class where faults were changed into seconds, gave Patrice and Baritchou HDC (Kannan x Garitchou) some new horse power. The speed class turned out to be a crazy class, it was fast, it was unpredictable, it was a lot of risks taken and it for sure wasn´t a beauty pageant.
The audience got to see a lot of faults and a lot of refusals when the riders tried to do turns that were almost impossible.
The first one that managed to combine a really fast round with a clear one was Thomas Kleis and Questa Vittoria (Quidam´s Rubin x Quattro). Several other riders tried to take over the lead, butinstead they just took over the second place;. Sergio Alvarez Moya with Sirius (Laroche x Tolbert), Max Kühner with Golden Coin (Iroko x Nimmerdor), Denis Lynch with Twister S (Indorado x Silvio) and Christian Ahlmann with Lucky Lord (Lux x Lord) were some of them.
Others – Felix Hassmann with Horse Gym´s Kira (Caretino x Cassini), Benas Gutkauskas with Lifou (Apache dÁdriers x Jalisco B) and Simon Delestre with Quiness du Mezel (Elan de la Cour) had great times but had to see the last fence fall.
It was number 32; Patrice Deleveau with Baritchou that finally took over the lead from Thomas Kleis and only one more managed to be faster than Thomas. That was the last rider Ellen Whitaker with Arena UK Lando (Landor S x Lord) that took over the second place.
But no matter how fast the riders rode, no one got more applause than Vladimir Beletsky with Rocketman (Raphael x Calypso) and he wasn´t even fast! He rode a slow school round, but he got the audience on fire with the show he put on aroundthe course. Pictures will come!
