Frank Schuttert ahead on the individual young rider ranking at the Europeans

Frank Schuttert tops the individual standing for young riders. Photo by Sunshine Tour.On Thursday it was time for the first round of the team competition as well as the second individual qualifier at the European Championships for juniors, young riders and children.

In young riders' team competition, the Belgian team is in the lead after getting only two penalties during the first round. Switzerland, with eight points, and Great Britain, with ten, are second and third respectively. Holland, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Denmark and Sweden are the other teams that will compete in tomorrow's second round.

In the junior team competition Holland, Switzerland and Austria share the first position with four penalties each. The Spanish team is in fourth position. The second round will be on Friday and Italy, Great Britain, Belgium, Ireland, Switzerland and Portugal will also compete there.

In the team competition for children there were four teams that went clear and shares the first position - France, Ireland, Switzerland and Hungary. In the fifth position is Great Britain, before Germany, Poland, Denmark, Spain, Belgium, the Netherlands and Portugal.

When it comes to the individual competition for young riders it is the Dutch rider Frank Schuttert with Winchester HS that is in the lead with 1,56 penalties after the two first qualifiers. Martin Fuchs is in second place with PSG Future (3,22 penalties) and Emilie Stampfli with Alessa Z in third place (5,54 penalties).

Among the juniors there are six riders that share the first position after being clear both days. These are Jessica Mendoza with Spirit, Fiona Meier with Pleiade Heutiere, Lisa Nooren with Zigo, Beau Vandousselaere with Cacharel Van de Slar, Matías Álvaro with Breezer and Filip Agren with Cardina.

In the individual standing for children there are as many as ninteen clears after the first two qualifiers.
