It was Philippe Rozier who took Saturday’s 1.45 accumulator class in Scandinavium aboard his speed machine Ideal De Roy (Quidam de Revel x Grand Veneur). The French rider chose all the right turns and had a forward stride to every fence, crossing the finish line with 44 points and a time of 34.96. He was early to go as number three, and although plenty of the riders tried to catch him, nobody could.
Young and talented Swedish rider Douglas Lindelöw came close with 44 points and a time of 35.15 aboard his Baloubet de Rouet-mare Balahe. Peder Fredricson made third place blue and yellow as well aboard C’Est La Vie – he had 44 points and the time 35.56. France’s Simon Delestre had the quickest time of the day on 34.90, but had one fence down on Orphee De L’Illon. Ludger Beerbaum had an excellent start, but after the plank at number five Satisfaction slipped and Ludger had to do a circle before he continued. Unfortunately the horse got a cut, and the incident also meant that Ludger dropped down on the list of the speed riders who are competing of winning a car at the end of the weekend.
