From tour to tour; the weekend’s Grand Prix winners

Sunday, 07 April 2013

Michel Robert and Nenuphar'Jac - the winners in Valencia. Here seen in Bordeaux. photo by Jenny Abrahamsson. On the Mediterranean Tour in Valencia it was French dominance in Sunday’s Grand Prix as three out of the top four riders represented the French colors. Best of them all were Michel Robert and Nenuphar’Jac (Cumano x Pidayack) with a double clear round and nearly two seconds faster than runners-up Michel Hecart and Quatrin de la Roque (Quick Star x Kannan). Billy Twomey was the only rider who could prevent full dominance from the French riders. The Irish rider has been out due to surgery and the show in Oliva Nova is his first since October last year. Aboard Tinka’s Serenade (Tinka’s Boy x African Drum), Twomey secured  third place ahead of another French rider Gilles Beltran de Balanda and Böckmann’s Lazio.
