Germany won Euroclassics Team

Photo by Jenny Abrahamsson.The biggest class at the 3* show in Bremen today was the Euroclassics which was a combined team and individual class. Ten teams took part in the class and in addition to the riders that was on the teams another 21 riders started as individuals.

For the individual ranking it was a speedclass, but for the three teams that managed to be clear there was a jump-off to ride. One rider from each team rode the jump-off; Anelies Vorsselsman with Eurocommerce Cleveland (Quite Easy x Good Future) for the Belgian team, Philipp Weishaupt with Catoki (Cambridge x Silvester) for the German team and Gert-Jan Bruggink with Cash Jr (Cash x Landadel) for the team from the Netherlands.

 Philipp Weishaupt was the fastest one in the end so the German team won. The team consisted of Carsten-Otto Nagel – Rarität (Carnute x Lord), Heiko Schmidt – Cassiopeia (Cellestial x Godavari xx), Janne-Friederike Meyer –Holiday by Solitour (Contendro x Cascavell) in addition to Philipp and Catoki.

Photo by Jenny Abrahamsson.Second was the team from Belgium – with Dominque Hendrickx and Cor van de Wateringhoeve, Patrik Spits and Whitney van de Dwerse Hagen (Codex x Feo), Dirk Demeersman and Cicero van Paemel Z (Carthago x Randel Z) and Anelies Vorsselmans with Eurocommerce Cleveland. Third place went to Holland – with Gerco Schröder and Eurocommerce London (Nabab de Reve x Chin Chin), Marc Houtzager and Sterrehof´s Voltaire (Now Or Never x Accord), Gert-Jan Bruggink and Cash Jr (Cash x Landadel) and Jeroen Dubbeldam with BMC Utascha Sfn (Lux x Indoctro).

The individual part of the class was just the first half of Euroclassics. The riders have to ride the same horses in the 1,55 class tomorrow and after that the individual Bremen Euroclassics' winner will be decided. Marc Houtzager and Sterrehof´s Voltaire (Now or never x Accord) is in the lead after todays class ahead of  Hans-Thorben Rüder with Orlanda (Julio Mariner x Caretino) and Jeroen Dubbeldam with BMC Utascha Sfn (Lux x Indoctro).
