Gert Jan Bruggink is not only busy being a part of the organization at the CSI Twente, today he was also busy winning. The CSI3* show in Geesteren was a crowded one, with almost 100 riders in the 1.50 Grand Prix qualifier – starring some of the biggest names in the sport. With an early start Bruggink was the fastest one of all against the clock though, posting a time of 71.61 second on Vita 24 (Carinjo x Contender). Runner-up was Belgium's talented Jos Verlooy on Farfelu de la Pomme (Vigo d´Arsouilles x Darco) in 74.02 seconds, while another home rider followed in third as Vincent Voorn finished over a second behind Verlooy on Quinlan (Quidam's Rubin x Acrobat).
Gert Jan also won the 1.45 class on Cash Junior (Cash x Landadel). Runner-up was Sweden's Alexander Zetterman on Flecu (Hip Hop x Flamingo), 0.20 seconds behind. In third came John Whitaker on Woulon L (Toulon x G.Ramiro Z) – almost a second behind the winner.
