Gold for the British junior team at the European Championships in Arezzo

After ending the two rounds on a total of four penalties the British team took the gold medal at the European Championships for juniors in Arezzo. The team consisted of Jake Saywell with Grand Cru van Paemel (Cicero x Silvio), Christie Pritchard with Waldemar (Calvados x Lux), Millie Allen with Cantino (Canturo x Libertino I) and Jessica Mendoza with Spirit T (Tornado x Carnaval Drum). Both Jake and Jessica managed to produce a double clear round.

The silver medal went to the Dutch team with Kim Hoogenraat on Wishkarla (Cavalier x Purioso), Kim Bril on Mallorca (Nassau x Roemer) and the siblings Demi van Grunsven on San Serai (Stakkato Gold x Cordobes I) and Jens van Grunsven on Whisper (Querelle x Wendekreis).

Germany - who won the gold medal for the young riders - was once again on the podium. This time they took the bronze medal with their team consisting of Theresa Ripke with Calmado 53 (Casall x Landadel), Laura Strehmel with DSP Lucie (Landrebell x Wanderlust), Leonie Krieg with Champerlo (Counter x Lasino) and Teike Carstensen with Cara Mia 85 (Colman x Barnaul xx).
